Approaching retirement from fast-paced, people-centered careers, we found our way into the unique adventure of raising alpacas in south central Missouri. Not only are our hearts captured by these exquisite beings, but our imaginations flow with prospects of sharing their personalities and their fiber.
Our lovable animals are bred for fineness of fleece, contour of body, and friendliness. They receive careful and cheerful hands-on treatment, fine pastures, and scientifically programmed diet and medical care.
We shear every spring, making them ready for hot days ahead. The sheared fiber is carefully picked of debris, washed, carded, spun into yarn, and made into fine clothing by crocheting, knitting, weaving, or felting.
